Angels by having Contaminated Faces occurs as 1938 film which tells the story of deuce boys, growing higher in the slum area of New York City, who choose different paths -- of these becomes the mobster, 1 the priest. While it meet once more when adults, the priest must keep his previous friend from either either corrupting a boys that a priest is trying to keep from a life of crime. It stars James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, Humphrey Bogart, Ann Sheridan, George Bancroft, Billy Halop, Bobby Jordan, Leo Gorcey, Gabriel Dell, Huntz Hall and Bernard Punsly. (Watch Dead End.)

A pic was written by Rowland Brown (story), John Wexley, Warren Duff, Ben Hecht (uncredited) and Charles MacArthur (uncredited). It was directed by Michael Curtiz.

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (James Cagney), Best Director and Best Writing, Original Story.

The put-on of the film appears inside Home Alone as Angels with Filthy Individuals. In the parody, Gangster Johnny fires the extended machine gun salvo prior to remarking, "Keep the change, ya filthy animal."
